STRANDED IN THE SNOW
I know there are people certainly worse off than I am and I feel very sorry for them. But I want to ride my horse!! I am so snowbound!! We can get out in our 4 wheel drive but the road to where my horse is stabled is just too icy for me. I thought I saw a "ray of sunshine" today when my husband said he would drive me to the stable and wait around while I rode. I was happy. THEN, we found out the Seahawk game was starting at 9:00 this morning so that took care of that. Just have to wait for the spring thaw!! Not that I would watch a football game rather than ride my horse but my husband is a real football fan and I don't expect him to forego the football game. (he sort of dropped his offer after he found out about the time of the game). So that is the way it goes - really nothing to whine about.
A Horse's View Of The World
I find horses so fascinating and they are often smarter than we realize. I have boarded in very large commercial stables, and one can walk down the aisle and it is obvious that all those horses have unique personalities, different expressions on the their faces and, like people, their eyes tell alot. It is with this in mind that my blog will often be from a horses point of view, at least as I see it.

Hey Joan, It is supposed to be warmer this week and no rain in the forseeable future. Maybe we can get in a trail ride in the next week or so. My herd is hanging up near the barn. We had to put the big tub with the heater out for them to drink from. Duchess unplugged it yesterday, so we bought some galvanized pipe to put the cords through to see if that deters her. I am going to tie the pipe to the corral fencing. Have a great week. Penny
