A Horse's View Of The World

I find horses so fascinating and they are often smarter than we realize. I have boarded in very large commercial stables, and one can walk down the aisle and it is obvious that all those horses have unique personalities, different expressions on the their faces and, like people, their eyes tell alot. It is with this in mind that my blog will often be from a horses point of view, at least as I see it.

WE'RE HEADED FOR THE BEACH

Well, it looks like a "GO". We will look somewhat like the "Grapes of Wrath". We are going to put the dune buggy in the back of the pickup, hook up the horse trailer and Jango and GO. We will be followed by my youngest daughter, Rachel and Granddaughter Julianna in Rach's hippie Volkswagen Bus. EEEEEHHHAWWWW. We have rented a condo right on the beach for 4 days. There is a facility nearby for boarding my horse. Jango is not the bravest horse in the world, so we will see how he likes the beach. It seems that when he is really scared, he listens to me and usually does what is asked of him. So we will see if this holds true. If he just plain won't go down the beach, I figure my husband can get in the dune buggy, Julianna will hold a big carrot and maybe he will just follow the dune buggy!! LOLOLOLO! The weather is supposed to hold for us - so we are looking forward to a good time. I will post pics when we get back. You've got to see the Ocean Version of Grapes of Wrath!!

Hi - the horses are boarded at a stable about 1 mile from Ocean Shores. But there is a place called Screamin Eagle in Ocean City where the paddocks are just behind the dunes on the beach. Pretty nice campground, too. That's where I will go next time.
