TRAILRIDE WITH A DOE
I had the most wonder trailride today. Just a short ride around the farm where I board (while a pipeline is being installed in my pasture). Jango and I were just plodding along and out jumped this lovely doe right in front of us. Good Boy Jango just stopped suddenly, the doe was walking right in front of us down the trail. She was so lovely, not hurrying at all, looking over her shoulder now and then to make sure we were still there. After a while, she jumped back into the brush, I thought she was gone and we continued our walk. All of a sudden Jango sort of scooted forward, I looked behind us, and there she was, the doe was following us. She followed us to the end of the trail until we got to the house. She stopped, looked at us as if to say, come with me, and Jango looked at her as if to say, I can't, she won't let me. It was a special moment of trailriding.
A Horse's View Of The World
I find horses so fascinating and they are often smarter than we realize. I have boarded in very large commercial stables, and one can walk down the aisle and it is obvious that all those horses have unique personalities, different expressions on the their faces and, like people, their eyes tell alot. It is with this in mind that my blog will often be from a horses point of view, at least as I see it.
